On the recommendation of one of the forum members, I have purchased a Halide Design Bridge and connected it to my mac mini music server and my Beolab 5's. Not sure if I've set it up properly as I'm not getting any sound when I try to play songs off of iTunes (using Audirvana Plus as the player). When I play music using Spotify, I do get sound through the speakers, but I'm getting some intermittent clicking coming from one of the speakers. Not sure if any of you have experience with this, but any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
what is the "wiring" ?
HDMI, miniijack, optical ?
BeoNut since '75
USB from the Bridge into the mac mini and BNC from the Bridge into the speaker.
It could be that the Halide Bridge was my recommendation.
I think you should keep an eye on the settings from Audirvana. The Beolab 5 are limited to 88.4khz
Bugger - if you have some 96 kHz files
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
96kHz files are not a problem in conjunction with Audirvana. I buy the most of my music at Quobuz and they have several 96kHZ Hi Resolution Files (StudioMasters). I already saw that Quobuz offers also 192kHz Files. I never treid one of these.
Regarding the kHz limitation of the Beolab 5 you can find several post regarding this topic
No, but with the BL5 as DAC they are
P.S. The BL5 limitation is well know (to me).
