I would think since the Beosystem 4 comes from the Beovision 11 chassis, it is net link only.
To replace a Beosystem 3 in a home with master link would you just need to add a net link to master link converter at the Beosystem 3 location?
What new master link features would you would you gain?
What old master link features would you lose?
Sure this was all discussed in the Beovision 11 threads. Just wondering if any thing changed.
It stays the same as for the BV11/V1 - but (future) software changes for the NL/ML converter can bring new features to the setup....for all NL-based systems.

Only if you have audiomaster in same room and they share speaker thru beosystem 3 today and also if you want tv sound from bsys4 in link room otherwise you don't need NL/ML converter What new master link features would you would you gain? None What old master link features would you lose? You loose Rf link to linkroom tv:s so they have to have it's own stb boxes dvd and so on Sure this was all discussed in the Beovision 11 threads. Just wondering if any thing changed. One of the new thing with NL Products are that it always is "master" and therefore you can get sound to or from any NL Product /Tompa

By the way you would also need a NL/ML converter if your NL-videosystem and your ML-audiosystem are in two different rooms.
If in one room, you would need it too, because it makes little sense not to use the speakers of the NL-videosystem. You just use the ML-audiosystem as a pure source for the main system/the videosystem then.
But of cource you don't need the converter, if you choose to add an extra set of speakers to the audiosystem and to run them as two seperate systems in one room - not very B&O-like.
The speakers are shared between Beosystem 3 and audio system 9000. So either get rid of the BS9000 or buy the converter. Right now 90% of the audio I listen to is net radio thru a Beolink PC2 with link player. I love the ability to play that thru all my speakers zones.

But if you still want to listen from your pc2 on speaker connected to BSYS4 you need NL converter
