Brengen & Ophalen
Hi Leslie,
I think all the Serene phones were the same. In my case I discovered that all the phone memory functions were held within the B&O dock itself. B&O never made this clear. I bought my Serene second hand and the previous owner had wiped the phone memory. However, what he did not realise was that as soon as I docked the phone all the previous owners contacts and emails were restored!

Graham, there's a difference in Serene's docking when bought from the ordinary telephone shops or bought from the B&O dealer.
Serene's dockings issued by the B&O dealer were able to synchronize phonebook with Beocoms 6000 through DECT.
This is I think what Blackrix already has explained. Thanks for your reply (can you read Dutch?)
@Blackrix, not sure but I think you can see the difference at the bottom side of the docking? B&O has put a sticker on it. Not sure though.....
If a post heading looks interesting I will sometimes check the page using Google Translate! It's not perfect but you can usually get an adequate translation.
I would not have replied if I hadn't known that you write and understand English better than most!
i thought the Serene docking station was unique to the B&O version, and that the Samsung version just came with a charger, but I may well be mistaken.
Incidentally, my Serene motor eventually failed with nasty crunching noises. I liked using the phone a lot, but it's Internet connectivity was always a problem. Good for photography because you held it at waist level at 90 degrees to the subject.... so self conscious subjects never realised what you were doing!
Hi Graham,
The Serene Docking Station was unique to the Bang & Olufsen version. The Samsung version had the same shape charger, but the electronics to connect it to the BeoCom 6000 base was not in the Samsung version. So that is the difference.
My goodness, this guy (Blackrix) knows a lot!
@Grahamm
Much appreciated by the Dutch members Graham to mingle in our discussion!
To be honest, it's a nightmare using a Serene nowadays but such a beauty to look at!
