Hi

My CD player has balanced XLR outputs which I would like to take advantage of.  There is a company that manufactures an adapter cable that goes from XLR to 5 pin B&O.  If I use this cable to go from my CD player, into my AV 7000 then with powerlink to my beolab 1's will the signal remain balanced?

Alternatively, is there a way I can feed my beolab 1's a balanced signal?

For those who might not be familiar, the beolab 1's have a powerlink and RCA inputs

Regards,

Henry

Unbalanced signal distribution is perfectly adequate for most cables up to a few metres in length. As far as I'm aware B&O only use balanced circuits on their Masterlink distribution, as they can be several metres long, so the circuits are balanced to prevent induction from external interference.
