Evening all,

Help wanted!

I have a beocord7000 which has developed a fault, and I'm hoping it can be fixed. The unit has been working fine, but today when I turned it on I could hear a wiring motor noise, which then stops. When I open the draw it starts again, and again also when closing. Also when I start a cassette the motor noise starts again and the tape will not turn, however the tape head mechanism seem to be fine.

Any ideas of what the problem could be, and any recommendations for a repairer in the Sussex area?

Thanks

Gavyn

I suspect that a belt has dropped off.

You need to replace the complete set of belts (3) with a set from member Dillen.

Regards Graham
