Hi all. Ive just got hold of a Beocentre 7007 with speakers. When I turn the power on everything seems to work fine, except that is for the sound. There is no sound coming from the speakers or the headphone output. If I turn the system up to its highest volume I can hear the music but only very quietly! Anybody know if this is an easy fix or not please before i start to unscrew things!

Thanks in advance,

Rob.

Have a look at the rear tilt up connection panel. There should be a round blanking plug fitted into a socket. If it's missing, that's your problem. It's a linking connector, but user's often remove it to connect, say an i'pod or similar device. If it's missing and lost, you can make a replacement with a 5 pin din plug.

Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Ive checked the rear panel that you mentioned and there is no sign of a blanking plug but there is nowhere I can see where a blanking plug would go! I tried uploading a photo but It wont save my upload!! Below is a list of all the inputs/outputs on the panel if that helps and maybe you could point me a bit further in the right direction if you dont mind:-

Looking from left to right:-

Speakers 1 L/R

Speakers 2 L/R

AM (weird 2 pin plug)

FM Aerial

FM 240 - 300

LINE IN/OUT (7 pin plug)

Tape 2 Play L/R and record L/R

Any further help would be much appreciated,

Thanks,

Rob.
