I placed a new bulb in a lamp that has been operated by a LC2. The bulb immediately "popped" with a flash of light and went dead. And so did the LC2. I have checked the fuse, but cannot see that it is broken.

I assume that its evident when the fuse has blown, right? Or can they blow and it is not visible to the eye?

And if its not the fuse, is there anything else I should check?

(The bulb was one of those energy saving bulbs that is replacing ordinary bulbs)

The new energy efficient bulbs cannot work with standard dimmers. They need special dimmers.

My solution was to just replace everything with the new Philips Hue bulbs that can be controlled to dim and change color using an iOS device. This took light control to an all new dimension!

If the fuse is intact, are there anything else I can do?

I´ve tried with a regular lamp and it is not working, and the fuse looks okay.
