Is it possible to change the LCD display in my BeoGram CDX.
And can the display still be bought.
Keith.
What's a CDX?
edit: Beogram CDX, now I know...

It's not LCD but LED.
Yes, it can be replaced. No, it's no longer available from B&O.
It's typical to see individual green track-numbers missing or intermittent, theyare individual LEDs and their solder joints crack.
Martin
Hi Martin,
It's the number LED display that's shows what track/time, all the individual number work OK.
Is it possible to purchase a new number display.
You'll have to find a duff CDX, CDX2 or CD3300 for parts. I used a CD3300 one to repair my CDX display.
Or go there : http://vintage-audio-laser.com/philips/sales/display_modules.html
This new design comes from a very serious, dedicated craftsman who does it to save vintage CD players, not to make money!
