A little knowledge is a dangerous thing...I was a little unhappy with the colour balance on my BV3, so I downloaded the service manual and used it to guide me to adjust the red, green, blue "drivers" and the "cut-off balances" through the monitor service menu. Well, I haven't done a good job, and worse, I didn't take a note of the original values to revert back (amateur!). I don't even know what the "cut-off balance" does! (any help)
Is there a factory set of values that these should be set to? I want my natural colour balance back! Thanks
Hi,
i'm sorry but there are no factory defaults. Every value i can read at my BV 3-32 are quite uinique to the set.
They depend on the tube (well not color, but geometry) and the controlling and driving electronics.
You can only try it with the values of another set. to get yours setup correctly after fiddling with the values.
I'm not at home now but i can give you the values of my set as a starting point later..

RaMaBo - that would be a great starting point for me. Many thanks.
ok, here we go!
Rdr 30
Gdr 27
Bdr 25
Rcu 39
Gcu 18
Bcu 10
PDL 16
Chroma Trap Off
Film Mode Off
I hope this helps, The values should be the factory settings (not default !) for my Beovision because i never changed one of these values.
Many thanks RaMaBo - that's a big improvement and hopefully of use to others who might have strayed!
