Another question on BeoSystem 3 setup:I'm using Motorola STB with BeoSystem 3. Connected BS3 to STB using HDMI (input A) and got an excellent picture and sound. How can I control STB using IR controller cable? There is output for IR in the HDMI section!I'm that sure I'm missing something, can someone help? Thanks,David

Hi David,
apart from what is described in the userguide you need the right 'puc table' for the Motorola.
It is the software in the system that translates the ir-codes.
If you can't find it in the setup menu, your BSys3 must be updated by a B&O-skilled technician.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you Millemissen!I understand that I need STB model to be listed in order to control it. I don't have an exact model but from my previous experience I can use another Motorola device and most of the commands usually work. What I was really looking for is where to connect IR blaster so them I could assign it to HDMI input A.
Your source (the Motorola) must be assigned to one of the AV-groups (and a 'button' on the Beo4 can be choosen to control it).
In that group you choose to activate the HDMI-port ('A') and you use the ir-port from that group.
The ir-port has to be activated and in the following menu you choose the PUC for the Motorola.
Jack-end into the port and ir-eye on the device - as you probably already know.
N.B. I am not quite sure if it with the US version could be different?!

Thank you Millemissen that was exactly what I was looking for!Now that I have STB control I can continue the configuration.Strangely BeoLab 2 is turned off when - and only turns on when I'm in the speaker configuration menu.

Could you explain that a bit more???
