Hi,

I consider to import a Beosystem 3 from the USA. Can I use it as it in continental Europe?

The user manual specifies various voltage ranges but the sticker on the back of the Beosystem 3 only mentions 100-120V.

Any other aspect I should consider?

I currently own a Beovison Avant 32, Beolab 2 & Beolab 1

Hey,

You will need to get voltage converted on all of your equipment. You can use the BeoSystem 3 in Europe, but you will not be able to utilize the TV Tuner module. Other than that you're fine.

I use a EU Beosystem 3 in the USA, with voltage converter and get TV through a box decoder. It works well but requires the use of that ugly big converter, hard to hide.

I had to change that converter to another one with a voltage regulator. I'd advise not to get the cheapest one.

All very new B&O products are now dual voltage. Before moving, I should have thought of selling my B&O speakers, TV and buy newest ones here, more versatile.

Cheers, Marc.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your answer. It is what I unfortunately expected. I probably could live with it but it diminish the appeal of the solution. I should have asked you the question prior you to move to the states and buy yours!

Maybe B&O could swap the necessary components but at what cost.

Regards,

Lorenzo
