My Beogram has a switch on the rear.  Is this a pre amp power switch?  Factory installed or modification?

There is a rotating dial on the bottom to set voltage 110, 220 or 240.  I know this was standard for most B&O in the early 1970's.

The unit seems to play thru my BeoSound 9000 without a pre amp while my Beogram 5500 has very low volume so I know the 5500 needs a pre amp.  This is why I think the 6000 has a pre amp built in.

The unit was purchased from the UK many years ago.

The 6000 has a CD4 switch, usually on the side, but the RIAA is on all the time. Some decks do have a power switch on the rear. Excellent deck - it is worth keeping the CD4 switch off since otherwise the decoder switches on at times with stereo records.
