Amazed to see, Just been shopping with my friend in Costco, Chester, large quantity of beosound A8, 599 + vat, was going to buy online for £949 inc vat, should I buy from a bang & olufsen store or online, can I still get the same service backup if I purchase from cosco, or is that being to greedy

No idea about service, but years ago I was astonished to see a load of B&O Century's for sale at COSTCO in the US here. Blew me away, as I recall they were $1250.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

Are you definitely sure they are the current A8's? I know B&O was trying to shift a ton of the previous model, with the fixed connector, suitable only for iPad 3/iPhone 4S backwards.

Yes, there is Beoplay A8 and Beosound A8, be careful what you buy.

I'm guessing that by all the beoplay 8 that have all of a sudden appeared on eBay that they must be the boeays and not the beosound a. I'm going to go have a look in the Manchester one now so will keep you all posted . As for service I know you get a five year warranty with all Tvs no questions asked. They really are good when it comes to refunds or exchanges they just do it no questions asked. Whether this will be the same for audio equipment I'm not to sure. Will post back as soon as I have been

Thanks for all the comments, staff at Cosco are unaware of the two models, just told me there arrived late last week, I have been mindful of the two models to look for, iPhone 4 or new 5, I can confirm the are beoplay a8's, which are AirPlay and iPhone 5 as the box suggest's this, going to my local dealer tomorrow to try and secure a compromise, keep you posted,

Thanks for the info, spoke to Cosco staff, they are unaware of the different models, although on further investigation I can confirm they are the beoplay a8 model, which are airplay and iPhone, this was taken from the box, going to my local dealer tomorrow to try and secure a compromise, keep you posted

Interesting channel to sell through. I like the way Bose sell on QVC, a clever 3 dimensional platform where you can get the concept point across on a "one to one" level

But personally I do not find the A8 desirable on an aesthetic level, the circumference of the speakers seem a little too large so I opted for the b&w Zeppelin.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
