Dear members,
I know, this is a delicate subject and we're in a technically-oriented forum. Still - do you worry about electromagnetic pollution or not? Does this have any consequences with respect to your buying behavior? Which products do you avoid from an electromagnetic pollution point of view? Or do you just think that there are no negative effects on the human body? I'm curious hearing your opinions and point of views.
Rgds,
Kai
No worries, I just wrap myself tightly in tin foil. Only downside is it makes sneaking up on the cat hard due to all the crinkling noise and at Thanksgiving and Christmas I get mistaken for a turkey and my wife keeps trying to shove me in the oven!

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

Until there is irrefutable proof that it is frying my brain, it's benefits are unavoidable and difficult to dispute.
Ban boring signatures!
Is planet Earth not just one big electromagnet?
I always place all my electronic equipment in a North-South direction, we all know that the earth magnetic field goes in that direction, the earth magnetic field will then neutralize all electronic waves sneaking out of your equipment, important is also a good ground (earth) connection. Where I have no ground connection, I place a flower pot, with a plant and min. 2 Kg soil in it, near to the equipment, and connect the ground wire to the soil, just remember to water it frequently. Where I cant place my equipment North-South, I place a small pyramid build of Lego bricks just under the item.
I dont like the aluminum foil trick, it always comes up bad in photos with flash.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

It does from the respect it can badly affect/mis-align a mechanical watch. I've had to take two back for a service due to magnetisation. Shouldn't keep your mobile near your watch, as an example.

There's a lot of pollution in the World. I guess electromagnetic pollution is not the most worrying
Btw - I've noticed that when my smartphone comes near to my clock-radio, there seems to be some interference (on the clock radio) - so I don't place my phone next to it...
I remember some years ago there was some concern about your brain getting grilled by microwaves when using cellphones...Any news about that..?
Søren Mexico: important is also a good ground (earth) connection.
I'm more worried about those politicians who seems to have lost ground (Earth) connection. Any way to save them..?

Not to drift into politics, but if I woke up and found out I was appointed Emperor, Pennsylvania Avenue in DC would look like the Apian Way after the Romans finished putting down Spartacus's revolt.

No I do not worry about electromagnetic pollution. The world has slightly bigger problems than that!
Too long to list....
There doesn't seem to be too much concern about the issue. Is it true, however, that some of the speakers like the Beolab 8000 are shielded? I've also heard that the Beocom 6000's supposed to have fewer "emissions" than other DECT phones. Is there any truth to that?
