Beosystem 6500 volume setting from 6500 remote (table top remote with round wheel).

Hi from New Zealand.  I have my Encore being amplified by my Beosystem 6500 using a custom cable from Sounds Heavenly and out to my old Red line speakers.

I was wondering two things:

1.  Can I preset the volume level on the 6500 to a level (e.g. 60) such that it is always at

that level when it is powered on?

2.  If not, does it furt the Beosystem amp to stay on permanently, and does it use a lot of power

sitting around in this state?

Sure.  Turn it on, set the volume to 60, open the lower flap of your MCP 6500 and press 'Set'.  You're done.
