All,

Newcomer to the forum, and wanted to get people's thoughts on my next purchase.  I currently have a pair of 8002s and am considering adding a sub.  I was originally planning to go for the BL2, but now with the new 19, I am considering that as well.

Generally, I listen to both music and movies, and definitely enjoy the booming cinema experience.  That being said, I'd like to get something that still handles music well as I do tend to play a lot of music when I am around my apartment.

I was hoping someone with a bit more experience, who has listened to both etc. could give me some guidance on what would be a better fit for me?

I know with the BL19, you can no longer connect the mains through the sub, but I assume that since I can connect the sub in through my preamp (which allows for cross over), that it would still have the same effect of freeing up my 8002's, is that correct?

In addition to having something that sounds good now, I am also looking forward to upgrading my system later, maybe moving my 8002s to the back and getting BL9s (maybe 5s one day) or adding 3's to the rear and getting a center channel, etc., so I am hopefully looking to add the sub that can best fit in with my system going forward.  The wireless factor for me isn't really that important, I am more concerned with the sound and future potential.

Thanks.

-AG

I have both Subwoofers. I can't say somethings about the technic. But in my eyes the BL 19 doesn't fit to any Bang & Olufsen Devices. It has its one architecture. I puted it behind a furniture, because it doesn't look great :-(

And the Beolab 2 fits great to the new Beolab 3. I can't understand, how many different organizations B&O does have. And why didn't they speak together for the best result.

Herman - do you have BL3s for both subwoofers ? And which sound combination do you prefer ?

I think they would be a good addition to a system using Pentas. Similar visual with the pentagonal shape.
