Hi all,

I have an incidental problem with my BM5500. It works fine until today.  I tried to increase a volume and the BM switched off at volume 24-26. Surprisingly I can switch it on with  MUTE!!! button on BL1000, but it works only for a couple of seconds and than again switched off. Can anybody help me how to solve this?

Thanks!

Does it stay on with the speakers disconnected,or can you use it with headphones?

What speakers are you using?

Beovox Penta?

Next time it switches itself off,try disconnecting the speakers or plugging in some headphones(this will cut out the speakers). If the unit switches on again and stays on,it will suggest that you have a problem the speakers,eg.intermittant short in one of the columns,or connections somewhere?

There are 2 potentiometer (100 Ohm) in the power amp, they are used to adjust the "no-load-current". They become defect and need replacement/adjustment.

If the "no-load-current" becomes to high, the Master will initiate an emergency shut-down. It will switch off.

Touch the alumenum cooler in the in the back of the Master, the cooler will be hot.

You need 2 of these potis 100 Ohm PIHER or CERMET and the proper adjustment of 11mV measured on These Points for every channel.
