Hi  I do have a Avant 32 with a Beosound 9000 in the same room and a Beolab 3500 in another. We have token away the Avant 32. Since the Beolab 3500 works only for seconds. First I saw TV Operated on the Beosound but this now out. What can be the problem?  I have tried the A Option but still not OK.  Thanks for your help ...

Hi, your BeoSound 9000 needs to be programmed to A.Option 1. It may have been A.Option 0 whilst you had your Avant.

In saying that, when a product only works for a few seconds it is normally because the master product needs a pin code?

Thanks for your answer.  The Beosound is on A. Option 1 yet. Do I also have to set it on the Beolab 3500?  Yesterday when pushing on the Timer button ON/OFF it shows TV OPERATED  Now it doesn't show it anymore ....  Strange situation

Try unplugging both bs9000 and bl3500. Wait 30 sec. Plug in bs9000. Plug in bl3500. This should make everyone forget the bv. Stan

You did not mention any Beolabs connected to BS9000. If there are no eolabs connected, your BS "thinks", it is connected to a videomaster, which was the case before, an will automatically switch to A.OPT 0. A dummy plug might help. A DIN plug (7 or 5 pins) with a bridge soldered between pin 4 and pin 2. See also Beotech site.

Hi Stefan.  I have just tried with a dummy Masterlink plug but still working for some seconds. Due to works in our home the Beosound 9000 stands alone in 1 room with only the Beolab 3500 in another room. Must I change maybe the A option before taking away the Avant 32"?

You need a Powerlink dummy plug, not a Masterlink...

When the dummy is connected to a Powerlink socket, connect your BS to the mains and set it to A.OPT 1.

A short flash of the standby led should confirm option setting. Now it should be possible to control your BS via IR (Beo4, Beo6...).

Set your BL3000 to L.OPT 5 - watch the led confirmation)

Before you do this, I recommend to disconnect the "whole" system from the mains for some minutes - are you sure about pin code?

Hope this helps.

Stefan

NO  Still not. I put a Powerlink cable in the Beosound 9000. 220v of on the 2 B&O. Connect again 220v and A Option1 on the 9000 and L option5 on the 3500. Sometimes it stops after 5 seconds, sometimes after 45 sec. When stopped hold the radio button or for a while and it plays again .....  But after sometimes even this isn't working anymore.

I add a Beolab 6000 on the dummy cable and still the same.  It plays in the mean room with BS9000 but the BL3500 stops again after some seconds. Could it be I had to put first the A Option1 before disconnecting the Avant32?  Geert

A Powerlink cable is NOT a dummy plug. Please reread my post above.

What do you mean by "not working anymore"?

Now you have a dummy plug (by connecting a BL) and it`s not the same. It`s working in the main room.

So the fault is on your BL3500 or the ML cable.

Try to disconnect your BS from ML (but keep connection to BL6000). Works?

By "not working anymore" I mean when the BL3500 stops, I push the radio button on the remote and it starts again for some seconds. After 4/5 times repeating the BL3500 doesn't react anymore.  Geert

Hi Stefan  I disconnected again from the main 220V lead and reconnect.  A MIRACLE  It works. After trying so many times suddenly it operates again.  Thanks a lot for your help and time (patience).  Regards, Gerard
