I just purchased a Beocenter 7700 and when playing a record it will only play through the right speaker. Both speakers work fine for the radio. Does anyone have a suggestion for what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance!

Steve.

Welcome to Beoworld !

Sounds like a bad cartridge if you ask me.

Thanks Martin. I'm glad to be part of Beoworld and happy to have purchased my first B&O. Especially such a fine retro model.

I will call the seller and ask him for further advice as well. Interestingly, whenever I press the Stop button, it will fleetingly play sound in both speakers as the needle retracts from the record.

Cheers,

Steve.

Could be a bad muting switch inside the deck too.
