I have a Beogram 6500 which has been changed to phono plugs and I want to put the original 7 pin din plug back on it. I have the left and right channels back OK but the data wire appears to be wrong. I have connected the yellow to pin 7 but all I get is a buzz in the speaker each time the deck does something, i.e. the tone arm lifts, but the deck does not respond to any commands from the control panel.

beotech.com is a chinese consulting web site ???
elephant:Apologies - it is a beoworld micro site - here is the correct link, copied and pasted from the browser instead of my memory ! http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/index.htm
Beotech is actually not very helpful as it does not include the wiring of the plug from a turntable.
Regards Graham
Worked it out by trial and error.
Black to pin 2 (left and right channel earth)
large White pin 3 (Left channel +ve)
large Red pin 5 (Right channel +ve)
Yellow pin 7 (Data)
Shielding around Red and White to plug case
Everything works a treat
