I have just bought in the sales a Beosound 8. [I am a happy returnee to B & O and I still have my old {sadly not working} Beo system from 20 years ago].
4 questions:
1. I do not have the support pad [not in the box] so would appreciate a view on whether I will be able to use an iPad without the support pad [i.e. unsupported - I think not]. My BS8 was bought as a brand new end of line / ex-display item but with the 2 year guarantee from JL for £350 - don't think I can get a replacement support pad.
2. I do have an Apple lightning adaptor [bought to use the iPhone5 on a Zeppelin system]. Can I use the iPhone without the support pad without risking breaking the male connection of the lightning adaptor or the BS8 dock? I take it that iPhone5 is supposed to make contact with the [missing] support pad?
3. Can I buy a support pad?- I understand that these are adjustable by manually screwing them? How much and from where? Thanks in advance for your views.
4. I will start a different post for this issue but can anybody tell me if there is any way that the BS8 [not A8] can be used wirelessly i.e. can I sit in my room and search, select and change tracks from my armchair with my iPhone5 or MacBook in the same way as I would be able to with the A8?
Thanks in advance,
