Hi All
Whilst liberating some vinyl from the loft I came across a Beomaster 901 that I bought a few years ago and forgot was there.
I haven't checked it but I remember it was all working when I got i, so I'll assume fully working. The veneer is coming off the two sides but it doesn't look that tricky to replace it - the plastic panels pull right off so pretty straightforward I'd say. All the aluminium fronts seem good , not damaged, lettering all clear, just a bit grubby
The question is - is it worth anything to anyone or is it too old to be anything other than a museum piece? I guess I could get back into use in a small studio I have plans for but if its something I should be restoring and maybe selling I'd rather do that as I have other amps which might be more suitable.
I'd be interested to hear what you all think - I notice there are several threads on the 901 which indicates that some people still use them.
Thanks
Dave H
Hi there,
The 901 is a lovely little amplifier/tuner. I would say it is absolutely worth restoring. Vintage items such as this still have somewhat of a market and following but it really is up to you.
It won't be worth a great deal unrestored but I would say they absolutely are worth restoring if you wanted to keep it. Check old ebay listings for rough values.
