Hi there!

Can anybody tell me if you get the wireless antenna and the PUC Cable with your V1 in the Box or do I have to buy them separately?

OK. That sounds OK. Does anybody know if this PUC Cable is a standard product or if they have to order it?

Mine came with a double PUC cable for two external units. I told the dealer I had an Apple TV before they delivered the tv so it might be because of that

Hi Lenny

All BeoVision's are now supplied with a single PUC cable. If you need to control more products then ask your dealer and this can be supplied as an accessory.

Therefore, my new V1 which will be delivered on Friday, should have a single PUC cable. Which is enough. I just want to connect an Apple TV

Mine (from November 2013) came with the Antenna (which I don't need) in the box.

My dealer told me that this is/was about to change - you will have to order that seperately in the future.

And it came with a single-wired PUC cable.

As I needed 2xPUC, I got an additional double-wired from the dealer.

There are two PUC ports on the V1 (32"), so you need at least one double-wired cable, if you want to control more than two external devices.

Ours came with a Tyko antenna which I found after the installer left and I called the store . They said they didn't know what it's for and it must be the installers and he forgot it. Could this be the wireless antenna ?

It looks like the one in this auction:

How could rhat possibly be overlooked in the box?

What kind of installers were they - if they did not know of the antenna, and what that is for?

Just wondering Confused

You need this antenna to connect your V1 to your Wireless Network (WiFi).

The V1 is directly connected to the router, so that must be why the antenna was not needed? The installers were from the B&O store.

Thats right you don't need the antenna if you connect it via cable. Still the installers should know what the antenna is good for...

Just as information.

The antenna must be external, because the V1 is made of steel.

It would not work (properly) if it was built in.

Who says the installers didn't know?? The antenna belongs to the buyer, so they did the right thing.

I would say that the sales manager didn't  know when I called the shop following the installation . But the installer probably knew and left it as it belongs to us even if it was not required in our set up . He may even have explained it to my wife as I was at work .

Re-reading the post I see:

"...and I called the store . They said they didn't know what it's for"

Which means, that the guys in the store did not know!

+1 for the installers (probably), but -1 for the store personal.

Lenny, I hope you don't mind me asking but are you purchasing from a main B&O dealer or a third party reseller? Names aren't necessary, I would have thought that the person selling/supplying the set would have probed and asked what other products would be connected to the V1 and how you intend to connect it to your home network to ensure that when it's delivered it comes with all of the required parts.

I can assure you that you will enjoy your new TV, I think that it is a great product and works well as a stand alone or part of a link setup with the Atlona matrix.

It is a Main B&O reseller. He was asking what I want to connect. But normally with B&O you have to pay for everything extra. Like a remote, which normally comes with a Tv. So I could not believe that these cables and antenna are in the box.

I just want to have everything tomorrow so I can finally enjoy a B&O TV.  I don't want to wait another week for any parts I may need...

Hopefully my V1 will be delivered today. I can't wait to play with this wonderful product.

My B&O Shop said the system delivery date is the 24th. So today. Anybody got experience with the delivery dates in the B&O System?

@tobeyone

When have you ordered your V1? 32" or 40"?

Congrats to your new V1!

i was present at the birth of my children, too - but my wife did the job.

Maybe that is why I wanted to do the job with my V1-baby myself  Big Smile

Hi Guys,

after a long day I finally got my V1 yesterday. Mounting the stand I kinda felt like mounting a IKEA product. But it was done much better ;-)

I'm not happy with the cabling yet, but I will figure something out. As well I need a better bass. But for now I'm pretty happy with it. Stil a few things I can't figure out...

I would like to just turn on the Apple TV and the Beolab 8000 to listen to music. It is possible but I have to hit a lot of buttons. Not really like I've planned it...

For those of you who are interested in pictures of unpacking, here you go:

Hi Lenny,

looks great - I think!

Thanks for the pics.

I started a thread a couple of days ago with questions like the one you have:

http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/9091/80085.aspx#80085

I thought that noone has the same 'problem' as I have, since there was very little responce to it.

I really miss the 'AV' function from the ML-generation-BV's - it is a 'pita' having to turn the screen on and then off again just to hear some music via AirPlay to the ATV.

i know of no solution to this.

Just wanted to say thanks for this valuable info. I have checked the invoice of my BV 11-55 and found two PUC cables charged instead of one only. Also checked with B&O HQ first before I contacted my dealer.

He apologized and refunded the money.
