In the BV7-55 with the built-in bluray-player there are three options for the sound output from the player to the BV7(BSys3) sound engine.
'Standart', 'Reencode' and 'Bitstream'.
Which effect do they have on the sound output of the BV7, when playing the HD sound formats from the bluray disc?
Surely the 'Bitstream' option should not be choosen - because of the missing decoders in the BV7(BSys3).
'Reencode': as the word says, this lets the decoder in the player re-encode - but to what???
Tests have shown that it does not let the player output a LPCM stream.
And what is meant with 'Standart'? What happens there?
Every other bluray player (external player) I know of, can decode the soundformats choosen in the disc to a LPCM stream - which will let us enjoy the HD-sound formats from the BV7.
Is this different with the player(s) in the BV7?
Are the players different in BV7-55 MK1 and MK2?
P.S. Does any one know which brand is used in the BV7-55's?
Any help (or links to previous posts) appreciated

There is a tv - and there is a BV
What’s on the AUDIO FORMAT menu …
STANDARD … Decode all audio formats to
PCM for up to 7.1 (seven sound channels
and one channel for low-frequency sound).
STANDARD audio format is recommended
to be able to play all sound tracks.
RE-ENCODE … Decode all audio formats to
DTS for up to 5.1 (five sound channels and
one channel for low-frequency sound).
BITSTREAM … All audio formats are sent in
its original format for up to 7.1 (seven
sound channels and one channel for lowfrequency
sound). If this option is selected,
sound for Picture in Picture and effect
sound for Blu-ray disc menus are not
available.
Thanks - means that 'standart' is the way to go!
I'll quickly pass this answer on to a guy who asked the question on a danish forum.
