Hi everyone, i owned beocenter a couple of years and worked great..

After yesterday when i was hiding cables, after that i wanted to listen some cds. Cd door was jamming, also cassette door stucked about halfway opening. I watched internet and found similiar problems. Downloaded repair manual and here goes my problem:

I want to lift cover up (unscrewed all 9 screws) when i try to pull the cover there`s  two purple wires that tight so the cover wont lift up. They are located near cd-bay and screen up right. Anyone any ideas what to do?

P.S sorry about my bad english, try to understand text and ask if you didnt get the problem :)

Opening the BC9500 works like a carhood. Remove three screws at the front and the ones located at the rear upper part. Then opening by lifting the back part. Hinges are at the front. Remove CD and Cassette and make sure that the lids are closed. ALso important when closing.

And be carefully with glasspanels, they tend to get loose over years and drop off.

Got the cover up and everything seems to be ok on wires and lifting system. I think door motors dont get enough power. Checked the fuse F2 which controls motors and thats working. Could possibly broken diode (D2) be the problem?

Are you sure it is not just dust and old lubrication, in according with bad rubber bands ?

If you pull off the glaspanels(be careful), then you can find 4 screws that hold the middle mirror part, it lifts right off, and then you have access to the guides for the lids, try to clean them very good, and use a small cue-tip with solicone to lubricate it all. Take a look at the rubber bands from the motor, and see if they slip...

CAUTION: When removing the glass (one screw at the top left, and one screw at the bottom left of the unit, then slide the glasspanels to the right), be very careful, and anticipate that the class will come loose from the plastic holders.

If they come loose, clean both the glass and plastic with benzine, just give it a good soaking and let sit for a while, then rub the old tape off under warm water.. NO SCRAPING with any kind of tool !!!

Then use some good glue in small amounts along the glass all around, and glue it on. You also might be able to find som automotive tape that holds the letters on cars, it should also work, but the key is to clean it good before glueing or taping again.

...or replaced by new cord.

Often I have cleaned and lubricated these systems, but sometimes to no avail.

The culpritt is burned contacts inside the motor(s). As it has to work to hard during the last years, that's the result. It doesn't have enough torque to open or close the lids. Cleaning these contacts inside the motor(s) or replace them by new one(s) is the solution.

But only if all the other former named possible causes are looked after.

Is it possible to actually open the motor and clean the contacts.. I have a new motor for my CD door coming, but would be good to know if a motor in this way can be made to regain its torque?

Thanks, assume access is through the plastic bottom, bending the small metal tabs outwards and just pulling of the beige plastic over the solder pins?
