Hi all . Got a Beocom 6000 on a 6 phone system but went to use one today and the screen is backlit as usual but its flashing " POWER ON...  ) . Can't make it do anything , can it be re-set , must be charged as the green backlight is on but  won't time out like the others.

Is it a MK1 or MK2 handset?

Hi Richard,

The middle button on the left around the wheel, does is it say INT or is it a dot? Alternatively, is there a headset plug on the top of the phone or a blanking plug?

Hi Jonnie . It's Mk1 ( buttons A -  dot - V to the left of the wheel ) , but it has come back to normal life , went to see what buttons it had and the screen was blank , poked a couple of buttons and it displayed " searching for base " then "updating " then back to normal , so thanks for you time but looks like it was'nt ready to die yet .

Hi Jonnie . Been a couple of day and fault hasn't returned , had 3 of these and 3 2's for many many years and have had no issues before . Would like to expand the system with a couple more but think 6 is all I can have , or can I ?

Richard, the problem is you will be working off a MK PSTN this is limited to 6 handsets. The newer MK2 will accommodate 8 handsets but only MK2 phones.

Having said that some people have had limited success connecting MK1 handsets to a MK2 PSTN.

  Hope this helps!!!

Jonnie
