Dear members,

I have a low buzzing sound from the drivers (one driver?) of my Beolab 6000, particularly audible when muted. What could that be? Is it the driver itself or does it have something to do with the amplifier?

Thanks!

Kai

Hi Kai

Have you tried a different cable?

I had the same problem with my BeoLab 3's, as soon as I switched on a source the tweeter was buzzing. The speakers had been moved for decoration. The PL cable was quite tight and we found that one of the cables on the soldered plug was shorting and once re soldered it was fine again. Phew

Is the buzzing intermittent or constant?  I find that when I charge my cellphone next to my Beosound I hear occasional RF interference (buzzing)  thru the speakers.

The buzzing is constant and very minor but more recognizable than on the two Beolab 8000s and the other Beolab 6000. You can't hear it when playing music. My repair shop told me that it's probably from the amplifier but that it's pretty normal with the Beolab 6000s and 8000s as they age.

Unfortunately not. They stand on the floor. But I'll try swapping them as soon as I have the nerves for that.

Greetings,

Kai
