I've made a lot of use of my A3 iPad dock, but a couple of problems are starting to develop.

1. The power jack is very loose and wobbly, and I've noticed that it is frequently not recharging the A3 although connected. Pressing on the jack causes the battery recharge symbol to turn green from black with a 'beep'. I've now resorted to taping the jack wire to the edge of the A3 so that the plug stays connected. I don't know whether it is possible to open up the A3 to do any sort of repair, but my worst fear is that the jack socket is a non-repairable connection on the edge of a pcb or module.

2. Although this particular iPad is usually left in the A3, and the surround gasket is usually left in place if the iPad is removed, the gasket is starting to develop a bulge immediately adjacent to the iPad switch (where the gasket has a slot in the side to accomodate the 30 pin connector).

Apart from these developing problems, the A3 continues to be a really useful piece of equipment!

Anyone else having similar or different issues?

Problems resolved with a dealer exchange!

Many thanks to Nick at B&O Liverpool.

And no "three attempts at fixing" first which was suggested in another thread :)

Some dealers are truly outstanding.

One of the really cool things about BeoPlay products (at least to me) is there is no repair on them. If there is a problem, it is a full exchange for a new one. On top of 3 years warranty when registered with the company direct.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
