Hi, wonder if I can get some help here. My original STB has died for some reason and needs replacing. I contacted my local dealer and he suggested getting an Icecrypt T2300. He then said the TV would need to be reprogrammed to accept the STB commands. This would cost an eye watering £75. Anyone out there know what to do to get the new box up and running sweetly.

As soon as you change from STB, and it isn't listed in puc list, then the BV7 needs to be updated by the dealer.

Depends on the dealer what he charges. Obiously time and distance matters.

Thanks for that Beobuddy. Am I to assume then, that if a STB is listed, it is only a matter of installing it and going to the puc list to let the TV do the installing?

My daughter has an Icecrypt on her 6-26 but she frequently has to use the Icecrypt remote for other than basic functions on the Beo4.

You could try to find a second hand box on eBay. You could also look through your existing PUC list for an alternative box, but be careful that you don't buy a much later box by the same maker that just happens to have the same designation as a box made some years ago because several STB manufacturers are not consistent in keeping the same codes for later boxes.
