Hello,

I have an Avant 32 DVD, I have connected the digital input to an Xbox 360 in the past with success, however when trying to connect a Tivo box to the digital input I cannot get any results?

I usually run everything through a Denon AVR, which confirms the presence of a digital signal being received from both the Tivo and Xbox.  The Xbox then connects fine, but the Tivo does not.  I have since bypassed the AVR and connected the Tivo direct to the Avant, but also with no success.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Keep in mind that the Avant 32 DVD only responds to Dolby Digital and/or DTS audio signal.

So, connecting a device with just 2ch digital PCM will not be recognized by the avant and not work.

The only solution is to connect the Tivo with both analog and digital audio leads.

... or put a DAC like the Dacmagic in between...
