Hello!

I found a modification for the Beolab 1 made by Glenn Guillot (Beo Tech) its a 3steps guide.

http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/beolab1.htm

The problem is that there is only part 1 & 2. Part 3 is missing.

Where can I find this Glenn Guillot? I would like to do this modification, but I need part 3.

Have you guys try this mod, and does it work good?

G'day, i've done this modification (the improvements in sound are subtle, and possibly psychosomatic), what parts of the modification have you done already? It will refresh my memory. :)

Did you already tried part 1 and 2?

I tried part 1 and iT really didn't make a lot of a difference.

Adding a receiver with room correction XT32 audessey did a lot more for me.

But I'm curious for part 2.

oh..... And there is no such thing as part 3.

I have not tried any modification yet.

Glenn Guillot says: Stay tuned for modifications Part III ;)

Thats why i haven't tried it, and I still have warranty on the speakers.

Desmo: Part 1 didn`t do much? thats to bad :( Glenn maybe didn`t do any part 3, its that what you mean?

Yep.

and changing The pots is audible, But it's not really doing good, because you are changing a whole range, not doing room correction, or finetuning The sound. The beolab 1 are actually very good, But they are really hard to setup, because they have a very small sweetspot and you end up with a out of phase sound.

try to download a audio sample for a phase test and make sure it's right. Thats making a whole lot of improvement.

Okey :)

I have tried som audiotest, but i have also moved the speaker and now they play much better.

The bass i deeper and the midrange sound really good now :) its almost like a new speaker!

thank you! Case closed ;)
