Hi
A question that my dealer do not seem to solve so easy:
Is it possible to get the sound from Beoplay V1 to the AUX in Beosound 4 in some way?

Possible, yes - but much to complicated to control two systems at one time, imo.
Why would you want that?

There is a tv - and there is a BV
It is mainly the morning news. It is practical to listen to the news in all the zones in the house. If you can get the sound to the aux you can do that. That was what we did with the Grundig TV we had before.
Hi Clakke
you would have to set up a new 'speakers group' in the V1 - see the 'technical sound guide' and the 'V1 serguide' on the B&O website how to do this.
From the 'assigned' PL-output you will have to use a PL to Aux cable to the BS4 - get this from your local dealer or at SoundsHeavenly (web-link below!).
On the V1 turn on the source wanted, choose the speakers group (via Beo4), mute the picture and turn on the Aux-input on the BS4 (or from the masterlinked room) - you will have to 'fiddle' a bit with the sound level of both systems to adjust them to each other.
Hope this helps.
Much easier to use a NL/ML converter connected between Beoplay V1 and Beosound masterlink connection. That's the way my setup is configured.
I listen to TV sound and sound from settopbox in my mainroom and linkrooms.
I have connected a Mac mini with Amarra to the (Beosound) Aux connector, and because the NL/ML converter sits between both devices, listening to Aux music is also possible in my mainroom (My main speakers are connected to the Beoplay V1!).
See attached file...
Best regards, Chris
Of cource that is the right - and best - way to do it.
But it is not the answer to the question asked!
N.B. You have a really nice setup!
Thank you MM..
Installing it the way I proposed it, is the way my lovely wife can operate it with ease
I totally agree!
But many people aren't willing to pay for the Converter.
I just answered the question in the op.
Maybe Clakke will reconsider what is best
P.S. I see that it was your first posting on Beoworld - allow me to say welcome!
Please keep posting. With your setup, you might have something to "tell" - Beoworlders are always eager to learn more..
...and to see pics
I just noticed it, although this is not my first posting.... I'v been on the old forum, seems my posts are gone now but that was a long time ago!
Work kept me away for years... As I am retired now I'm finding time to keep track again.
Thank you very much for the renewed welcome!
Edit: Just found my old username: Chris
