Hi

After months of hesitation and tests, I have finally give up the idea to use my beolab 7.2 as a center speaker and I will use a pair of beolab 5000 wall mounted on each side of the bv 7 40.

The beolab 5 under on each side will be used as front/sub speakers for surround sound.

The bl7.2 is finally too wide and too thick between the beolab 5000.

Anyone use already a pair of bl5000 as center speaker ? If yes please tell me with which front speakers.

I know someone who use a pair horizontally oriented but without bl5.

Thanks

4 beolab 5,  beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2,  2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...

I have a Beolab 7.4 if you want to trade with your BeoLab 7.2. ?

Send me a PM if you are interested.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

Thank you for your offer but I keep the beolab 7.2. I will need it when the bv 7 will go into my bedroom.

I have made some more test with the bl5000 as center speaker, and the sound quality with my set up is really good.

Why not go for a Beolab 10 - design wise I think it would suit very well with the Beolab 5s (much better than 5000s IMHO)?

My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....

The beolab 5000 are above the beolab 5, their look is amazing.

This is the only pair my wife wants to keep.

The beolab 10 won't look bad you are right but as I have to keep the beolab 5000, it would be a waste of money to keep both.

I never heard a beolab 10 so I can't compare. The beolab 5000 are very well balanced speakers with really good bass reproduction (thanks to my wall and bass reflection).
