Hi,

I've got an LS5500 and recently managed to get hold of a motorised stand which I believe was used with an MX model TV.  The mounting plate on the stand is too small to attach to my LS5500 but it looks to me like it can be removed and I guess replaced with a mounting plate for different models.

I'm not having any luck on eBay finding the correct stand or part - could anyone suggest a supplier that might be able to help?  Everywhere I can find deals with more modern TV's but finding a part for a TV that's over 25 years old seems to be more of a challenge.

If anyone has the correct mounting plate for sale that would help me immensely.

Many thanks

The stand that came with the LS5500 was exactly the same as the late MX-series stand and should be interchangeable.

I once had an LS4500 with a motorized stand that would fit an MX4000 with no modifications.

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

Ok, so it's just a case of trying to track down the correct mounting plate....  I think that's going to be easier said than done   Sad

Yes, the 21" and 28" mounting plates are different, and I think the 28" MX and LX plates are different as well (the MX plate has straight side edges, while the LX model is wider).

They aren't that rare, but you might need to take the rest of the stand and a non-working TV as part of the same deal!

EDIT: confirmed, I believe you now have 9118 but you need 9111 (and the related small parts).

I actually have a slightly different one to that shown in the diagram - the mounting plate doesn't have the vertical bits on it.  I guess it's redundant anyway if I replace it.

That's the plate for the 21" MX TVs (and I guess the smaller LXs, I've never had one of those).

The motor itself is the same for all of the stands as long as it has the 4-pin plug.

Yep, four pin plug and works fine with my TV, just far too small Smile
