I just bought a Leica x vario: a strong solid, beautiful litlle exclusive and awesome compact camera. Do you know? This is exactly what I can wait from B&O: a real essential object with an heritage, simple approach and style. I think B&O is moving in then right direction.
A curiosity the two brands use the word essence to communicate, take a look here:

Through the partnership between Leica and Panasonic we can expect a Lumix version at half the price in due course.
Just like the plasma partnership between Panasonic & B&O in the past.

Enjoy your camera ! I came to the same decision a few months ago - no regrets, feels like what B&O is or should be.
pf85 I get where you are coming from, Leica is a great iconic brand that makes wonderful cameras. I like what they have done in London with their Cafe Optik and believe B&O could offer a similar experience/workshop for new and existing customers.
I have also been lucky to meet a couple of their brand ambassadors in the UK, one of them being Lara Platman and again thought this a great grass roots way of projecting a brand.
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
