Hi, I´ve been looking for a BV 4-50 720 p as a second TV. I got two offers, containing the panel, BS 2, IR-eye, Beo 4 and cables, both checked by a B&O dealer, but are private sales offers. Condition seem to be on equal level, not having seen them live.

Option 1 has in addition BS 2 with latest SW (there is a label at the rear side "SW 1.6") plus Panasonic remote.

Option 2 comes with cabinet 2168 and a cleaned display. Price of this set is in total € 90,00 higher as option 1 above.

For me the price difference and the additional cabinet are not so important. I would rank the BS 2 SW update # 1.

I also plan to operate the BV 4 with a Panasonic SAT receiver which is HD capable and has a built in twin receiver as well as a bluray and hard disk.

My questions:

- Is it special to have a cleaned display at a BV 4? Or difficult to clean it? The seller highlighted it very much

- How would you rate the SW update?

- As I understood it, I will need the receiver to get the 720 p picture and the BS 2 to connect my B&O speakers, right? For operating the receiver, which will be directly connected to the panel via DVI, I need the Panasonic remote?

- I´d like to connect the BV 4 to my Beosystem 4500, which operates the pair of Beolab 5000, acting for the BV as front stereo speakers, because I guess, I will then keep the display function of the speakers when using audio; is it like this, will it work?

- As far as I know I could operate the TV only through the receiver with the Panasonic remote, but is there a way to connect the B&O speakers somehow, without the BS 2?

- finally, is there somebody having experience using wireless SAT connection? The connection in my case would be a cable running around three walls and is not so easy to hide, so I´m thinking of a wireles solution; in addition, it would probably solve the situation of having only one SAT connection

Thank you in advance for your support. And sorry for bothering you with a BV 4 topic, when the new Avant is showing up Smile.

Kind regards,

Rolf
