Hi all,

I am new here, so I hope you don't mind me asking for your help :). I have read the new user guide and cannot find an answer to my problem anywhere!

I have a BeoSound 2300 which have connected to my BeoLab 12-2 speaker directly (using an 8 PIN DIN-ethernet cable). I have also got my BeoLab 12-2 speakers connected a PlayMaker.

The setup was running fine for a few weeks, however, lately, when the BeoSound has the 8 PIN DIN cables attached, the doors automatically open on start-up and will not close. If I unplug the 8 PIN cables it functions perfectly I.e. the doors open when I wave my hand and close 30 secs later), however, of course, no sound comes out as it is not connected to the speakers! In my mind there must be some sort of interference from the cables. I have tried resetting the system by unplugging it and also by running the cables directly through the playmaker, but the same thing happens. IN addition, the CD will not stop spinning automatically even though no music is playing!

Any suggestions?

Many thanks for your time, I hope this was the appropriate place for my question!

You can't run two audiosystems with the same set of speakers connected.

A much better idea is to connect the Playmaker (PL-out with adapter) to the Aux-in of the BS2300 (which then has the speakers connected). You then just choose A-aux on the Beo4 and AirPlay/stream to rhe Playmaker as usual.

Your absolutely right, is a good suggestion, but that's not going to solve his issue as the door open for no reason when the speakers are connected to the 2300.

I had a similar issue with my beosound 2500 where the doors would open, when I was using a telephone!!!

Unfortunately I am not going to help you that much as I can't really remember how I solved the problem but I know I tried to add one of this ferrite thing you put around the cable to eliminate interferences. I am not sure if that solved the problem.

Try moving cables...
