Here's a crazy thought (well, not really): What if you could control your Philips Hue lights with a Beo remote?
Philips Hue are the best home automation lights I've encountered and it would be very useful to be able to control them with a Beo4, which is the best remote. Apps are great, but physical controls are even better sometimes.
Technology-wise, everything it here: I've got a Beovision 11 and nine Hue lights which all have internet access, and I've got a Beo4 remote. But there's no software to connect the two.
Ideally, the Beovision would be able to control Hue over wifi, but I don't think that's going to happen. What I'd like to do instead is to somehow control my Hues directly with IR, which would require some kind of bridge in between.
Do you guys have any experiences with this?
I am sure that could be made possible with the NLGW.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
What's that?
That is the newer version of the MLGW (MasterLInkGateWay).
NLGW is a bridge between NL (and ML) based products and third party Home Automation products.

Update! It's official name is the BeoLink Gateway (BLGW) - sorry if that confused you.
Indeed, it CAN be done, and a BeoWorlder has achieved this with the MLGW:

So far, the solution requires quite a lot of computer skills that are beyond my capabilities. However, yesterday Apple announced its HomeKit, which could organize control of various home automation devices, including Philips Hue. Apple even showed the capability to use Siri for voice control. With HomeKit, maybe there will be advancements to more easily establish integration with the MLGW.
