Having recently upgrade my BeoLab 6000s to 8000s, I now have to consider shipping the 6000s when I sell them. Just discovered that carpet often comes delivered on stiff cardboard tubes with 100mm internal diameter; a handy 4mm larger than the 6000's external diameter.
Wrap the speaker in polythene or bubble wrap to avoid covering the speaker in cardboard dust.
The tunes are easily cut to length with a bread knife.
Most carpet stores will let you have them for free,
BeoLab 8000 Mk2, CrystalAccoustic BluDAC, Mac Book Pro Retina
Great idea - thanks

There is a tv - and there is a BV
But an original packing box and internal foam. Much much safer option!!!

Where does one get the original packaging from and what is the pricing?
Bubble wrap, cardboard around (pentagon or similar). Then in a box with bubble wrap / filling material. Then in a second box...
So I shipped Beolab 6000s before without any damage to them.

An original box and packaging is always the best but is often very expensive or difficult to get hold of. This 'carpet tube' idea is an excellent alternative and worth thinking about. The only issue I can see is that the bases are not protected and would have to have other packaging added, or, put in a second package once dissassembled.
Dave.

Indeed, Looks bases are attached with 3 hex bolts. The are easily removed and I would certainly recommend removing them for shipping.
