I have had the new Avant for nearly a week now. On the default settings I was pretty shocked by the amount of motion blur I was seeing. I have tweaked the picture settings a lot and managed some improvement. But I am still experiencing a noticeable amount of motion blur.
This being my first B&O TV, I don't know if this has always been an issue with the LED Beovisions.
Has anyone found any tips or tricks to reduce or hopefully banish that nasty motion blur? What are your ideal settings for TV and Bluray?
Please let me know if you find any more adjustments or pic improvements. I have my Avant on order, purchased sight unseen. I hope I'm not going to regret this major purchase.
One source you may wish to check for Avant picture adjustments is Flatpanels.com. They've done a quick review of the exterior looks of this tv, they should have a comprehensive update for picture settings and tweaks to get the most out of the picture with reduced jitter. They list all settings before and after adjustments so you can compare the "factory" settings to their recommended calibrated ones. Once I get my Avant I'll let you know what settings worked best for me.
Great. Thanks Joe. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Hi Joe, was that www.flatpanelshd.com?
@ Solidsnake: Yes, that is the site Joe was referring too. Here is a link to them for their review of the BeoVision 11: FLATPANELSHD.
Keep you're eye out as that site and others will soon be reviewing the new Avant and I am guessing it will come in with pretty good reviews. I have recently purchased a different model B&O television but spent considerable time reviewing the Avant on its release at several dealers. I don't recall noticing any problems with motion but that's not to say there aren't any - just not any I remember seeing. As far as I am aware the Avant is using the most up to date commercial panel available so you're going to get the best that current technology offers.
Since release, forum posts point to a few teething issues with the Avant, which is not uncommon for a new Mk 1 product. It may be that you need a change of set if the problems are as noticeable as you say since generally speaking, B&O televisions are calibrated for optimum performance at the factory.
Rest assured that B&O will look after you and ensure you have a fully working Avant that in my mind displays an outstanding picture with little-to-no noticeable motion artefacts, certainly not while viewing HD or 4K content.
Keep you're dealer in the loop and let us know how you get on.
@ Joe: I am quite certain you are NOT going to regret you're purchase! :)
All the best... Simon.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

Thanks Simon. That's very helpful.
My B&O dealer was over at my house today to review my issues with motion blur. He was pretty shocked and confirmed that movement was terrible, particularly on the default settings. He was calling B&O headquarters later to discuss the problem. He assured me that they would have to be aware of this as it is so obvious and a software update would be needed to address it.
There's already a software update available for the Avant !!
I'm not sure what it is though - I didn't get down into the details..

A new update?
There was one of course from 16/05 but nothing newer is showing up for me.
Ah... it may have been the 16/05 one then. I was only half-looking at the tecchies laptop.
