Avant CRT with Beolab 2500 as front speakers?

I am looking to improve the sound from my BV Avant US by adding my spare BL 2500 speakers to the fronts. I've read the Avant speakers are a close match to the BL 4000 speakers, but what should I expect from the BL 2500? Has anyone tried this configuration?

I have my BeoSound 4000 connected by Masterlink, so I can send the sound from video and audio sources. It's a bedroom system, and I'm not looking for surround sound, just stereo or three speaker stereo spread for all audio. I do have a small Cambridge Soundworks subwoofer connected as well to help fill the low end. Any comments?
