Can anyone help me with tracking fault on Beogram 8000 and 6002, while both decks seem to work well and play fine, up to a point that is. The problem is that when tonearm lowers and starts to play its drifts into sensor arm so not staying parallel, then stops lifts and returns back start position.

This happens on both decks, is their some kind of adjustment.

Hi Marc,

What are the odds, but my guess is shutter bulbs, the ones that detect arm angle. They were good on all my Beograms, but...

You normally can see them in the dark, nearby the arm base. Can you?

Just had a look in the dark but could not see any kind of light on both decks, i then looked at my BG 8002 which is in great working order but still did not see any kind of light near arm base.

Well, it's faint, and you have to remove the platter to see it.
