I'm sure this has been asked a 1000 times but I'm hoping someone can help. I recently purchased a really nice pair of cx100 speakers but they need to be reformed. I bought a kit but the foam surrounds are too big and the BS story that the seller gave me is not worth discussing here. Anyhow. Are these drivers still avail so I could just drop them in and be done with it or is there an amazing company or person I could send them to? Thank you!
If you tell us where you are, maybe we can guide you to someone near you.

New York City.
You already bought them to do this refoaming yourself? Buy the right ones and try to do it. It's not as difficult as it looks like. Just did 10 of those...

Leslie. Where did you buy the surrounds from? The clowns over at Orange County Speaker Repair are the ones that sold me the wrong ones. They said that they always need to be trimmed. Again, clowns.
Robert, bought mine at goodhifi.com from the Netherlands.. I think they advertise on Ebay.com as well. Many threads here which shows you how to do that. Good luck!
Robert, like Leslie, I have used GoodHiFi and they fit well. Search for threads on here to find out how to do it. It's an interesting challenge to do and you will get great satisfaction when it works out well from knowing you've done it yourself.
Dave.
Exactly, just a matter of working precisely. I made a few threads on this forum regarding refoaming. Yesterday I did 10 and today another 4. Piece of cake..
The correct size was ordered from speakerworks and they are perfect. These will go on with little to no effort.
Speakerworks? Who are they and how much did you paid for it?
speakerworks.com I paid $5.95 USD each. I used them once to make grills for a pair of speakers that I designed and had made last year. Side note: click on the custom speaker grills and the pic to the right are my speakers that I designed.

Just finished refoaming the drivers. Let's just say that my work got better by the time I did the 4th driver. HUGE difference in performance with having refoamed them. Was worth all the swear words in the process.

I had the same experience with my first attempt: S40s about 4 years ago. The first one was an adventure, by the time I finished the second one, I actually thought I knew what I was doing!
Now you have to try fixing stuck magnets!
Oh, and congrats on a successful project.
