I have a sound problem with my Beovision 7-40, mrk. II. The music is much higher than the speaking. For instance when listening to the news I have to turn the volume up to about 60 to hear the speaking. When a music jingle is played after the speaking it is very loud.
I have updated the software to the latest version.
Does anyone know what to do about the problem?
Best regards
Kristian
Hi Kristian,
Have you looked at the speaker settings and checked adjustments in the Menu? Push the Menu button twice on the remote and go to the Speaker settings. You won't be able to adjust the voices only if you have just one speaker (7.4 or 7.2) but if you have 3 or more then you can adjust the distance settings from each speaker to the sofa and this is where you will notice a difference as these may not be synced correctly. Otherwise I am unable to offer any other suggestions but someone else might have an answer for you?
All the best,Simon.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
Regrettably this is the present idea of broadcasting sound - everything must "peak" to 100%.
Years ago, when I worked as a sound engineer at the BBC, speech was always broadcast to 100% and music 8db lower than the speech which gave a much easier and pleasant listening experience.

The 7-2 centre speaker had sound 'speaking' issues resolved with software updates, maybe even the chip update for PCM. I assume you have that speaker. You should be able to play with the sound adjustment settings to resolve.
beoaus.
