Hi,

(sorry newbie here)

I got my hands on a BO 7700 and I would really like to make it work.

I can plug it in, and it seems to react fine when I do. (Lights up, I cna set the clock, and can select which source to use basically.

When I select the record player, I can hear a small click, but the turntable does not start spinning like it should (I guess). I can see the belt, so this does not seem to be the issue. I looked online, and when select Ph9ono), the table should start spinning and the arm position itself. I get one of this.

Is this something common for these tables, and can I fix this ?

Also, exactly the same happens with the tape player (might be unrelated). There also, I cna hear a click, but the motors do not start spinning. This is less of an issue for me (meh tapes)

Thanks a lot for you help guys

Not all owners are aware that the turntable will not start without a record on the platter.
The same goes for the tapedeck but it will most certainly need new belts if they weren't already replaced.

I figured this out (need of record and tape), but not at first, you are right.

But it still does not work. For the turntable, I removed the platter and I can see the belt, intact. Does this mean the belt is not the problem ? Or is there another belt ?

thanks

I hear a small noise (not always it seems), but the platter does not start spinning, the arm does not seem to try to do anything either. The LCD shows oo:oo (I believe, I can check again).

The right side display should show "PH" when you press PH as you can see
at the very first second of this video

And maybe better here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOmyYv2DweQ

Edit: Fourth attempt at posting this.
Some attempts I can't even go back, it also gives me a "Page cannot show" message.

Yes, this is what it does. I checked these videos before, this is how I know that I should expect the table to auto start spinning and the arm to move :)

Looks like the spu side is acting correctly, might be some mechanical failure, but again, removing the platter, I can see the belt and it looks intact.

I don't remember; Does the turntable section have a Turn button ?
In the given case, what happens when you press it ?

Sounds more and more like a missing voltage.
Check f.e. the 14V on the motor control board (module 17).

And that's the end of what I can do ;)

Thanks a lot for your help debugging this, this seems too complicated for me, adding the prohibitive cost of MMC2, I think I'll get something else that works out of the box.
