Hi,

I bought a used BeoSystem 3 type 9606 recently.  It's the model with 2 DIV-D outputs and 4 HDMI inputs.  I've connected a 60" Vizio flat panel TV to to output 1 using a DVI -> HDMI adapter.  I connected my Xfinity STB to HDMI-A,, HTPC to HDMI-B, and Chromecast to HDMI-C.

In Connections, I associated AV1 with HDMI-A, and set the source as DTV.  AV2 - HDMI-B source = PC, AV3 - HDMI-C Source = DVD.

DIsplay 1 says BV4-50 D9-HD.  I've tried to change that to a Generic Non-B&O Monitor, but it won's save that change.  I can change it to Projector, and any other monitor type, but not NON-B&O Generic.

I'm using a Beo4 without navigation button.

I have BeoLab 6000 main and surround and BeoLab 4000 center.

My problem is, I can't get the picture or sound from any of the sources to display on the TV or play through the speakers.  I'm stumped.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have look this up, but I think you need to access the service menu to chose a generic display with 1080p resolution.

To start with you can set your input devices to 720p only. Do you get a picture?

I accessed the service menu and these are the current settings.

I tried doing a reset following the instructions from the service manual (add RESET to Beo4, put BS3 into standby, select RESET, press GO) nothing happened.

Good evening,

In order to narrow down the problem, how can you see the service menu if the connected TV doesn't display anything ?

Regards,

Jean

Autodetect needs to be turned OFF.

The thread above will help.

I have an update on this device.  I took it to my vacation home and connected it to a 40" Vizio HD TV and I was able to get output on both outputs for every input.  To make matters more mysterious, I took 2 PCs from my main house to the vacation home and hooked them up.  They displayed fine there, although I couldn't get them to display at the main home.  So, same inputs, different monitor, different results.

I didn't change any of the settings on the BS3.  I have AutoDetect off and screen resolution set to Auto.
