I'm looking for help getting my Beocord 5000 (80s) drawer to consistently work appropriately. It hesitates opening at times or opens but falters along the way. It looks like the drawer sat on the rubber tires for a long time and they are less than round.

So far I have:

Disassembled the rails and cleaned everything-

Tried different alignments of the rails-

Removed the rubber tires and treated with rubber conditioner-

Sanded the tires lightly and then placed the rubber tires in boiling water and then while still warm coated in rubber rejuvenator-

Replaced the drawer belt with one of Martin's excellent belts-

Cleaned the gear teeth the drawer follows-

Lubricated the teeth the gears of the drawer follows with synthetic grease-

Removed the grease and tried dry-

Tried lithium grease-

Cleaned and tried synthetic oil-

Swapped drawer belt pulley setup with a know working pulley-

Still not opening as smooth as my favorite beocord 5000.

What I haven't done,

Swapped tires from a different beocord-

Swapped drawer motors from a different beocord-

Ideas?

Check the voltage to the motor, lub the motor and check if running "free"

Progress! Thanks Søren

13.75v as expected

Removed the drawer pulley and motor unit (tooth rack drive) and tested the feel of the motor. It felt great.

When reinstalling the tooth rack drive I had to re-reference the SM for the proper adjustment. 1-2mm distance recommended between teeth. I set it for more of a 2-3mm distance and that seems to have done the trick. I readjusted the rear rails. It moves much better. I can see it vibrate with the lack of perfectly round tires but now I don't have to help it along with my hand.
