HI, I have recently inherited an entire collection of B&O. Let me start by saying its amazing. One of the pieces of the collection is a pair of Redline 45.2 and 60.2 speakers. Both pairs have one speaker that sounds muffled, like you were to put a blanket over the speaker. I know that its the speakers and not the stereo, but I'm not entirely sure of what causes the issue. Could it be bad caps? I know enough to get me by, and can do any repairs myself. Could this be a simple fix? Also what parts would be needed, I want to get them as close to their factory state and sound as possible. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Could be rotten speaker surrounds and changing the caps would also help.

Check out audiofriends for surrounds and beo-parts for capacitors

Check the tweeters first.
Swap them to diagnose and confirm a bad one.
Then replace the capacitors in the crossover filters (Beoparts-shop).
