With the press launch early this morning (9am), the first feedback might be from the usual tech site sources, in the UK. Keep an eye on TechRadar, TrustedReviews etc.

Out of interest, now that Chester have closed and Liverpool have become an outlet (older models or refurb) who do you now regard as your dealer? King Street?

For some bizzare reason all my new product mailings (I'm on the Wirral) come from the Cheltenham store!

I hope everyone takes some snaps of the new gear, I'll be doing the same. Always interesting to see live pics as opposed to studio photos.

Looks very impressive and like the original Avant, good value. I also like the new remote which is a development of the Beo4 but modernised. I think this could be a star product.

I could tell you but would then have to kill you! Big Smile

Not long before all is revealed - I really like this and if I hadn't just bought my daughter a car, I would be getting one.

That grille at the bottom... sorry , no way

Since David Lewis' passing bno's designs are seriously going down the drain

Remote's ok , nothing special though. what an anti-climax

Looks good!

Is that a double movement motorised stand?

Having said that, I am not really that impressed with the move up and down speakers (with crude looking grille). Maybe a necessity on these very large screens, but to be quite honest for a medium sized set-up I quite prefer my BV11 40! (which is also Smart and with hard disk, sat and terrestrial modules built in.)

As with the most B&O products, it is more impressive in person. And with the motorized stand and speakers it really create a unique feeling.

Give it a chance guys.

I don't get it.

The article (which I have google translated) says "No smart tv".

However, on page 62 of the TV user guide they explain how to access spotify, youtube etc.

Does anybody know whether the speakers are separate from  the TV like BV7 or integrated?

also no mention of curved speakers as i was lead to believe?

Remember that you don't see the speaker as it slides down? So it's mostly a BV7/BV12-looking TV, with a speaker that appears in use.

I like it. Don't love it, but looks way better when you just see the panel. Would look good on a wall.

It wouldn't be the first time that a reviewer has got something wrong because there was too much to take in!

I think there are some interesting inovations with this Avant (if the google traduction is good !) :

- The movements of the motorized stand

- The 4K panel

- The moving speakers with integrated subwoofer

- The new VisionClear adaptive feature

- Ho, and... The new BeoRemote One !

I think, like Apple fan, BeoWorlders are very demanding about design and technology and would like a "revolution" for each new product !

Waiting for the official presentation on the B&O website, and of course to see it in flesh in the shop...

I guess you have to see it in real before you make your opinion.

My first thought is that I expected more, but I have not seen it in person yet. I think many of us are going to change our mind.

Cheers

I think it looks nice, the only thing I'm not of a fan of is the grille in the middle. But who's knows it may look better in the flesh.

the remote looks so sleek.

Re: the speaker grill design.

I thinks it reflects the design of some cherished B&O VINTAGE GEAR.

The A9's wooden legs initially evoked the same disconnected response.

Let us see.

The article on lydogbilde.no went away again. Maybe they had a friendly call from B&O...

Am i the only one that can't see what it looks like?

All i have seen is that video of the top of the unit.  Are there any other photos?

For me, that grille is reminiscent of the finish of the  front of a Bose WaveRadio.

Hi graham...

John dickinson and his team up in Tarleton . A little out of my way but it is always exciting driving up there to see new products

Have been going there since the 1980's and are such nice people and always give me great service. It is a shame Chester is now without a store , was very handy for the occasional question or smaller items and Tony and Matt were a great to deal with and of course Nigel from the early days in Liverpool. He was smashing and tremendous at customer service .

It seems the sources are down TV and Music and then you have the list button next to them. So you will probably have to navigate to Light using the list button. I guess you will be able to see the oled display now in darkness... Otherwise turning on the light will be difficult.

I must visit them!

Liverpool still give outstanding service via Nick & Lee, but they are restricted in what they can sell (current new models being off their agenda).

Having said that, I did see a BV11 when last in there... so maybe they are now in the clear to sell current, if not absolutely brand new, products.
