Steffen:
I can tell you, that most flatscreens sold here in Denmark are over 40". And now - when 4K screens are introduced, people are buying even bigger.
Actually there's no need for 4K resolution under 40" (unless one is sitting right in front of the screen).

I would agree actually. Checking on 4K TVs in electronic retail store, I came to the conclusion even 55" is kind of "half way there" in terms of immersiveness and how much of UHD beauty you can actually enjoy from let's say 3 meter viewing distance,

Even if my living room is not really big (standard city apartment), I found only 65" and the 75" a right measure - and really compareing side by side same video feed. Btw I did it on three separate occassions and all three times same conclusion on what leaves the best impression. This is why I'm hoping for a 65-incher from B&O sometimes in the future. Big Smile

Having and needing one (or two) big tv's in a home does not exclude the need for one (or two) smaller tv's for the 'not cinema experience'.

Some want them, others don't.

The question for B&O - as a small company - is simply, whether the demand is big enough for making a 'small-tv line' or not.

It seems that they have decided not to make any.

So - no rumours for new tv's in 2015 (apart from the 75" Avant)..

But hopefully we will see improvements in the actual lines - which is not bad either.

You should paint that vent under the screen black... It catches my eye every time I look at the pic!

I guess those who like to bag the style of the V1 must regard the red dot design award panel as being a bunch of design ignoramus... Stick out tongue

I adore mine and will not part with it.

I'm not dissing the TV but I have no time for the Red Dot Awards. As far as I can tell you have to pay to "enter" and just about everyone who enters gets an award!! I don't know of anyone who "entered" that didn't.

Next year I'm establishing the "Puncher Awards" for Outstanding Technical Achievement, all companies interested in being able to advertise this award on their websites and product promotional literature should submit non-returnable samples and a £10000 entry fee to Puncher c/o Beoworld.

Ban boring signatures!

He who laughs about a V1, I let laugh. No problem there!

He hasn't lived with that tv, and knows nothing about how it performs.

P.S. I surely respect, if people want another design. But laughing....that is ridiculous.

After all a small B&O tv doesn't nesessarily have to look like the V1.

So come on B&O - let the designers play. I am sure they could come up with something good.

A picture paints a thousand words......

That was the Havana limited edition model. End of line was sold off by the Liverpool outlet at £999 (or something like that) inc the Beo4, so many saw it as an absolute bargain.

Looking at the B&O Liverpool website now there is no longer any mention of it so, presumably, they sold out.
